It is always exciting to see our ISFMF friends and Board Members being so busy and creative, especially after that challenging pandemic period we’ve all been through. Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck is currently working on several big projects, including the most recent one – the film he’s just finished – Jeanne du Barry, directed by actress/director Maïwenn, one of the most famous French directors who has previously worked with Stephen on several films. Jeanne du Barry is the opening film of this year’s Cannes Film Festival and tells the story of the life of Jeanne Bécu who was born as the illegitimate daughter of an impoverished seamstress in 1743 and went on to rise through the Court of Louis XV to become his last official mistress. Leading roles went to Maïwenn and Johnny Depp.
